Despite what I said in my previous post about Masala Indian Restaurant in Sheung Wan, my second visit here was proven to be a surprise. Perhaps because this time my friend and I did ala carte as opposed to the set meal, the quality was far better.
We ordered way too much and drank quite a bit of beer. Here’s some food porn to get you all a-Indian again, right here in Hong Kong!
Popaadam. With mint dip. Yum yum yum.
Garlic naan. Perfect with every curry.
Charcoal grilled eggplant puree with sauteed tomatoes. Yowzaa…
Chicken nasi briyani. Hmmm…
We also ordered the prawn korma and chicken madras but I didn’t take photos.
A word of caution. If you not a spicy-food kinda person, go for medium hotness. Even for the Malaysians we found it to be rather hot.
Five dishes, six beers and HK$500+, we left with bloated stomachs and contented hearts.
